What if the safest long-term use of powerful intelligence is to make scarcity itself less valuable?
The Abundance Coalition begins with a simple premise: many of humanity's destructive incentives are strengthened by scarcity, money, status, coercion, and concentrated power. Advanced AI can amplify those incentives—but it can also help reduce the scarcity that gives them leverage.
This thesis proposes a deliberate alternative: preserve frontier competition while coordinating some of the world's most capable intelligence toward measurable reductions in the cost and scarcity of the essentials required for human flourishing.

Core hypothesis
If advanced intelligence can accelerate scientific discovery, engineering, optimization, logistics, manufacturing, medicine, energy, education, and infrastructure, then humanity can progressively turn capabilities that are expensive and scarce today into capabilities that are inexpensive and widely available tomorrow.
The long-term objective is not simply cheaper products. It is to progressively demonetize scarcity by reducing the real cost of essential goods, services, knowledge, and capabilities.
What TAC is proposing
TAC proposes an institution with two linked responsibilities:
1. Abundance missions
Apply the best available intelligence to consequential real-world bottlenecks and judge success by measurable outcomes.
2. Frontier stewardship
Pair access to the most consequential capabilities with security, evaluations, auditing, accountability, and an explicit commitment to human agency.
These responsibilities reinforce each other: powerful capabilities require stewardship, and stewardship gains legitimacy when those capabilities are visibly directed toward human benefit.
Intellectual foundation
The abundance framing is inspired in part by Alexander D. Wissner-Gross and Peter H. Diamandis, Solve Everything: Achieving Abundance by 2035 — A Blueprint for the Next Decade.
TAC's proposed governance, moral framework, mission-cell operating model, and frontier-stewardship architecture are separate proposals developed from that broader inspiration.
